Ben has been a writer, producer and a director for over 35 years. He spent the first half of his career working for various Canadian broadcasters. He was the creative/director for CTV-Edmonton for many years before striking out on his own and starting Hired Gun Productions in 2000.

 

In that period Ben through Hired Gun has created content for the web, broadcast and DVD/Blu-Ray. He wrote, produced and directed countless short films, three nationally broadcast-documentaries, a feature-length documentary, three multi-episode web series, and numerous television commercials, training, promotional, safety videos and all forms of online video content. 

 

In his blog, Ben talks about social media marketing, content creation and the state of the world today. He is a member in good standing with AMPIA (The Alberta Media Production Industries Association) and a 10-year member with the DGC (Director’s Guild of Canada-Alberta)
